Nectar & Trinket Persians Catteries

Hi my name is Irina Creaser. I purchased 5 cats from Angelia The first time 2, which were supposed to be a mating pair….the male advertised as 5.6 lbs already had sired and the female 2 1/2 year old 4.8 lbs had never bred. When they arrived, the male was 6.6 lbs and the girl 6 lbs.--so much for size!!!!!!

Next I washed the cats (I live in the Bahamas and spent $1000 just to fly to GA to pick them up and fly back). I discovered that the male had ringworm--about 30 spots on his whole body. I took him to the vet and was told he only had one testicle--so he can not be used for breeding, since this is a hereditary defect). Since I wanted to breed miniature and teacup Persians, I was really pissed.

I have 2 other studs and 6 queens, but nothing small. I contacted Angelia, and she told me that she did not know about the ring worm and the one testicle which was NO PROBLEM(!!!!!) according to her. But she would send me a free replacement stud.

At the same time she told me this sob story about how her mean neighbors shut her down buy re-zoning her and not permitting her to sell from her home. I actually felt sorry for her since she told me she had to give up her babies or face eviction. She offered me a 4.5 lbs white female for breeding for $2500 and would give me a free full size black/white female breeding cat as well. Since these offered me the opportunity of new colors, and I needed the replacement silver teacup stud any how, I decided to go for it and make the investment. I wired the money, but never got any receipt, health guarantee, background info on any of the 3 cats or birth dates.

When I finally got my long awaited cats (November 2007) I found that the male was showing all his bones in order to make the 5.2 lb mark. He ate like a lion for 10 days and gained almost a pound. He also had a ringworm spot on his neck and tail. His name is KARISMA The bi/color is fine!! I call her NIOBE The tiny white female -- I named her LETO -- is pitiful!!!!! She has a huge ringworm all over her neck and ear and 3 new spots on her side. So far I spent $150 for Sporanox pills, $120 for Malaseb shampoo,,$15 for fungus powder,$150 to get the one testicle cat altered,$30 vet visit$10 Micanazole spray = $475 for sick cats. Also Leto's eyes are teary and her body physique is not desirable as a breeder, since she does not have that stocky build.

Angelia does not respond to any email or phone calls, and I just discovered this site, so I decided to join you in your efforts in doing something about her. I emailed the CFA.

Angelia, how can you keep feigning innocence when all these people are coming forward with the same type of story? How do you sleep at night, KNOWING that you are scamming people and causing them heartache, stress and financial woes!....not to mention the poor defenseless animals! What gives you the right to do this to people? You take their hard earned money for your expensive, yet sick, cats....and you think nothing of it. And then you act the victim, saying that you are being defamed and slandered!!!! I said it before, and I’ll say it again: It is NOT defamation or slander when it’s all true...and it is, we all have documentation of it. You should be ashamed of your reprehensible behavior.

Show this to your lawyer: I’m sure that he/she will tell you that you haven’t a prayer of a chance!!!!

I just found this page because I've waited almost a year for my cat's papers, she at one point even changed the date as to which my cat was born! I still don't have the papers and it will be a year in Feb., I did thankfully get a healthy kitten, but it was a nightmare to get the kitten to me. I am so sorry for the people who didn't get a healthy kitten, I was beginning to think I was the only one that went through this with Angelia. I noticed her web site was changed to placement services, whatever that might be, I wouldn't trust her to put a cat or kitten with anyone. The sad part is those kittens are very expensive, she told me mine would stay around the 4 pound mark, she is now almost 8 pounds, but that's okay, she healthy and sweet, and away from Angelia! Be aware of this woman, she will bs her way through anything you ask her!

I am also a customer of Angelia whose cats have suffered. About three years ago my mother purchased a female toy persian from Angelia, it wasn't until around 6 months later we found out that the female was actually a male (which are differently priced). About three months after my mother purchased her Persian from Angelia, I purchased two of my own. I requested a male and female and said that color did not matter. She sold me a golden male at full price and a black one that was discounted because she wasn't "show material". The problems started even before the cats arrived. Apparently they missed their connecting flight and spent the night in the airport. Almost immediately, the brown male had blood in his stool from a bacterial infection. WHen I took them for their first vet appointment, the doctor noticed the black "female" was really a male. Then came the ringworm. The ringworm spread like wildfire and almost caused me to move. My cats had it, I had it, and every guest in my house got it. The black male has constant eye infections and has extreme problems producing sound: his "meows" sound like very quiet croaks or nothing at all. When they were neutered the black male was found to also only have one testicle, so the surgery was much more expensive and invasive than it would normally be. I was honestly shocked to hear that other people had these problems, but I am thankful that we have not heard of any life threatening problems. The good news is, that with a lot of time, care, and effort, these cats can become healthy and happy.

It is so heartbreaking to read of all these stories. I thought I was the only one--just the unlucky one. I hadn't checked up on Angelia in many months, since my kitten died. On May 02, of 2007, I had to humanely euthanize my 10 month old (teacup silver chinchilla female) kitten, due to the extreme and unacceptable pain that was associated with kidney failure. This was during the time of the pet food recall scare, and my kitten had been exposed to foods listed in the recall, however, all the samples of food she consumed were tested and all were found negative of the melamine contamination. Angelia and I had become friends, and we were still convinced that it was due to the poisoned foods, (despite proof that the food had been safe) so I paid for a pathologist to examine her kidney tissue, which was found to contain NO melamine (melamine crystals were present -in the kidney tissue- in the cases of the food recall) but the cause of kidney failure was due to a "congenital birth defect." I have all the documentation contained in the histopathology report for this kitten. This was my second death of a kitten purchased from former stripper Ms. Schultz. The first one (teacup cameo male) died of organ failure at the age of 16 weeks. As soon as I received the reports, I sent them to her, and she lost her mind. She accused me of using tissue that wasn't from my kitten. She indicated that she would follow up with DNA tests, since she had both parents onsite, and that was the last I heard from her. I searched all over the internet for anything about her cattery or any complaints, and found nothing, since this was prior to the official GA agr. complaints. I am astounded. I lost 2 cats. I am out $5,100.00 for the price of the two cats, PLUS approximately 6,000.00 in vet bills. My daughter is emotionally devastated, and my husband and I are financially and emotionally devastated by all of this. he is a manipulator, liar, player, swindler, thief, and so much more than that. She needs to be shut down permanently. She is an abomination and a disgrace.
