I waited and took her to my own vet. He noted that the kitten was anemic and that she was quite sick. Rick, the owner, insisted that she had giardia because that is what is always wrong. That was not the case. After hundreds of dollars in vet costs and much heart break she died. She had feline infectious peritonitis and cardiomyopathy. Rick refused to refund money. He would only give another kitten which we did not want. We loved the original kitten and were afraid to take a chance with another animal from this greedy, insensitive man. He also refused to give a store credit. I offered to take food and crates for the 1000 dollars I spent so I could donate them to rescue. I checked with the "breeder" in Kansas. Her price for the kitten was 400 dollars. Rick charged me 1000 for this poor little dying cat. We loved her very much. Her name was Melanie. Her ashes come home this week.
